Living LIFE medicinally

The world is loud right now. Voices are everywhere and all of the time.

Yet, I have been quiet recently. I have been still, observing, feeling the interactions of the world,  assessing my personal resonance in it all.

And as I have been observing, I have felt a loss of words. And that is okay.

For sometimes we simply need to watch in order to fully SEE.

Sometimes we need to close down outside stimuli to fully FEEL what our hearts need us to know.

Sometimes, and very often, we just need to LISTEN, for all the answers to our deep questions and curiosities are always within.

I have refrained from social media for the past few weeks, honoring this inward need for mySelf. But today I opened Facebook Messenger and came upon a message from a woman I acquainted a month ago in a virtual class. We didn’t actually meet, but she felt motivated to write to me sharing our mindful connection and her appreciation for my work. Now, these sorts of things happen often, right? We meet someone through someone else and connections are made. But this morning was different for me, and I’ll tell you why.

In a time where there is much conflict of opinion, fear of the unknown, and absolute concern for life or death, the resonance of the spirit is always alive. The simple acts of connection, genuinity, compassion, love, mindfulness, and consciousness continue to surge through our physical beings with immense force and power. It is always there. Always. It’s just a matter of if we are dialed in to it, or not.

When I am thinking of a friend or loved one, I reach out to say hello and check in on them. When someone teaches or lifts my spirit and mind, I share my gratefulness. It is a powerful  message from the heart about another, and so it should be shared, for the sharing lifts the heart and spirit to the one you are thinking of.

So, I listen, and then I act on it. I reach out to that person. And by doing so, I am opening up connections between mySelf and their Self, specifically our hearts, our spirits. That connection, even miles apart, creates an inner feeling of love, care, inspiration, motivation, light, life. It is a subtle reminder that no matter what is happening around us, we are connected. And so, we are affected, we are deeply touched.

Receiving this morning’s message from a stranger did this for me. After a month of feeling quiet, inward, and observant, her message lit a spark in my heart. She shared the gift of connection, love, light, inspiration and gratefulness.

I am fortunate to receive love from others around me quite often. But her message this morning touched me differently, igniting a light that has been happily, quietly lit. Her message unexpectedly touched my heart. This is the power of sprit and connection. Its potential needs no reason, it simply IS there as source all of the time.

In a time where we are all journeying through the murky waters of discovery and societal shifts, remember to share some light. We all need it. Even the teachers and guides.

We are one another’s medicine or poison.

We have choice in how we live.

Observe yourself, listen within, and act with love.

Be the medicine the world needs.
